Kathrin Sevecke is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and psychotherapist and serves as a full professor of child and adolescent psychiatry at the Medical University of Innsbruck. She is the president of the Austrian Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and director of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychosomatics in Hall in Tyrol.

Her clinical training was completed at the Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn and at the Medical University of Cologne, Germany. Prof. Sevecke then worked at the child and adolescent psychiatry of University of Cologne as the head of the special unit for the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety disorders and depression and then became a professor at the University of Cologne. In 2013, she moved to the Medical University in Innsbruck, Austria. Additionally, she serves on national and international committees including the Forensic Child and Adolescent Psychiatry ÖGJKP and is an active member of the European Society for the Study of Personality Disorders (ESSPD) and the Society for the Scientific Study of Psychopathy (SSSP).

Research interests: My research focuses on the assessment and treatment of adolescents with personality disorders, NSSID, eating disorders and depression. In one of our current projects we investigate mental health issues in young people during the COVID-19 pandemic in Austria.
